Prof. Kamatali, currently serves as the Director of the Center for Democratic Governance and Rule of Law at the Ohio Northern University in the United States of America. He is renowned for his expertise in reconstructing post-conflict countries and has worked in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development in efforts towards legal reforms in Rwanda.
Prof. Kamatali has also served as an expert for the United States Department of Justice in cases of genocide and crimes against humanity. Furthermore, he has lectured on transitional justice in post conflict countries and published on the same.
Prof. Kamatali possess extraordinary skill-set and expertise in transitional justice reforms, including, reconciliation, reparations, truth and justice, as well as, the role of women in reconstructing post conflict countries, the role that the rule of law plays as a vehicle for national development—particularly—in attracting foreign investments, means of transforming dead capital into fungible assets that create value for the poor and reforming land laws to achieve development goals.
